About Us
We are the Friends of Centennial.
Our grassroots, committed team of volunteers has called Wellesley home for an
average of 30 years. The Friends of Centennial is comprised of a combination of
business executives with environmental, corporate, insurance and health care
experience along with several attorneys who have litigation, land use, environmental and business expertise. Three of us are current or past Town Meeting Members. Two of us previously served as Natural Resources Commissioners, and one as a member of the Select Board.
We are a non-profit organization incorporated to defend our community’s largest conservation corridor and eliminate or significantly minimize this proposed development. The distinguished firm, Hill Law, is leading our legal effort with their combined expertise in environmental protection and Massachusetts land use law. Considering the high probability of litigation, we are asking for your support to help us finance the cost of legal (and associated) expenses that could reach as high as $150,000 to $200,000.
Email us at: FriendsOfCentennialReservation@gmail.com, or if you know us
personally feel free to reach out. We welcome your inquiries.
We are also looking for individuals who can volunteer some of their time to help this cause.
Thank you.
